Chair Yoga

Safely practice yoga poses, breathing and relaxation to support strength, flexibility and balance of the body and mind.

Enjoy the benefits of yoga from the comfort and stability of a chair! We'll engage poses that support strength, flexibility and balance in three video practices. Poses are performed from seated or standing, using the chair for support. Relaxing breathwork and a guided relaxation are designed to help melt your tension and worry away.

  • All you need is a chair on a nonslip surface, comfy clothing and drinking water. Shoes can remain on or off.
  • The videos are yours to play whenever, wherever you'd like from your PC, tablet or smartphone.
  • Invite calmness, balance and strength of body and mind with this accessible chair yoga practice.

In her classes, Liz Lear, CYT, emphasizes stress relief and mindfulness through gentle movement, guided meditation and breath practices. Liz specializes in teaching gentle and restorative classes for adults and interactive yoga programs for children and families. After practicing yoga for a dozen years, she realized her dream to begin teaching and sharing the deep peace that yoga brings in 2015. She has taught at yoga studios, fitness centers, libraries and parks throughout the southeast Cleveland area. Liz earned her 200-hr yoga teacher and Reiki Master certifications from Jan Hauenstein with TRY4Life-RYS in Aurora. Off the mat, Liz is a freelance writer and editor and brings together yoga and journal writing as complementary tools for self exploration.
